Hey y'all!
I am officially back in Kansas after a lovely week spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico! It was such a fun week, filled with great memories. Here is a recap of my trip along with some photos I took.
I got to Albuquerque Wednesday pretty early in the morning, so that meant we had the entire day. We went to Nate's house, dropped off my stuff, and went and saw my cousins who live down the street from Nate's family. Then we grabbed lunch, and went shopping (which included Anthropologie and J. Crew, two of my favorites that I don't have at home). That night, we went out to dinner downtown at a super fancy restaurant (seriously I didn't even know what I was ordering) but it was so good, and such a treat.
On Thursday, we went for a hike in the foothills and rock climbed which was so much fun! Then we went swimming at my cousins' house, followed by dinner at a neighbor's house. Friday we went to the zoo, had lunch with some friends, and then had a wedding to attend at night! It was a beautiful wedding at an old rail yard warehouse. There was a coffee truck (like a food truck, but just coffee/smoothies!) which I thought was the most amazing idea. We got to hang out with a bunch of Nate's friends which was super fun, too.
Saturday we went up to Santa Fe for the day and shopped and ate lunch, then went to Nate's family's cabin for the 4th of July weekend. Seriously so much fun!! I love it up there. My cousins came, and so did a lot of Nate's friends so it was a blast.
Monday was my last day, and we made the most of it. I went for a run early in the morning with my cousin Anna, and then Nate and I were so exhausted from the cabin, so we had a more chill day. We got coffee, walked around Target for hours, and went to the mall. We had lunch at Whole Foods and got macaroons, so I was pretty pleased. I had never eaten there, but it was so amazing! We also had dinner at another friend's house. Then we went to my cousins' house and hung out for a few hours. By the time we left there, we decided it was better to just stay up all night since my flight left soooo early. So we grabbed some blankets and hung out outside in the back of Nate's truck.
It was such an amazing week, and I was so sad to have to leave and that it was over so quickly. I had such a great time, and can't wait to go back soon!
xoxo,
Kenzie
