DIY Pom Pom Hat

hey y'all!

so today's post is going to be a little different than usual, because along with today's outfit post, I wanted to share a little DIY I did this past weekend! I love doing DIY projects, and this one was super easy and turned out so great. I love the pom pom trend that is super popular right now, and I have seen some more expensive versions of this hat for sale...but I paid less than $10! Want to see how my project turned out? Keep on reading. :)

First, we need to gather up the supplies. You really only need three things. I picked up this floppy hat at Walmart, and it was under $4. I thought that was pretty much the best deal ever, and it is seriously so cute! Its also very floppy and big, which will be great for the pool. I got some pom poms from Hobby Lobby, and they were also only $2. I had a hot glue gun on hand already, and that's what I used to attach the pom poms to the hat.

For my hat, I decided that I wanted the pom poms to be in a pattern, so I chose my pattern and just began gluing them on. It is obviously really easy and self explanatory from here on out! And that's really all it takes to make this hat. I spent more time driving to get the supplies than actually making this DIY!

Personally, I think I will wear this hat to the pool more often than dressed up, but I still think it looks so cute with this outfit! I paired the hat with my go-to white jeans from Loft. They are so comfy and stretchy and perfect for people like me who can't stand jeans! I am also obsessed with off the shoulder tops, and I finally got my hands on this one from Old Navy. I had to buy it in a size up because they didn't have my size, but I didn't even care because I wanted it so badly! These earrings are also amazing, and I think they brought out the color of the hat well.

Hope you all are having a great Thursday! Today I am off to work at my internship, and then I will hopefully have time to lay out this afternoon and work on my tan a little bit. I've been trying some self tanners for my cousin's wedding since I haven't had time to get to the pool since I work so much. Do you have any favorites that give great color without the streaky look? Leave a comment down below, it would be much appreciated! And thanks for reading, talk to y'all tomorrow :)

"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
