COLORADO FOR THE WEEKEND

Hey y'all!

So last weekend, I hit the road with some of my friends for a little getaway trip to Colorado. It was such a fun weekend and I was so glad to have a three day weekend to relax a bit. We spent the weekend near Salida, Colorado. We camped out, explored the town, and then on Sunday hiked a 14er, Challenger Point!

The hike was hard, but soooo worth it! We woke up at 3:30AM and hit the trail as early as we could. It was a really beautiful day. I discovered that you really can never eat too many Clif bars because I think the amount I consumed that day is more than I care to admit! Hah.

On another note -- I wanted to share a little side story about our experience on that hike. I think I will spare the details, but we were on the mountain when something unfortunate happened to another hiker. While it was scary and I was really shaken by the whole event -- I think our whole group realized that we were on that mountain and we had taken longer than originally expected for a reason. I think its important to remember that God places us exactly where we are at any given time for a specific purpose. Even in the hard times or in the midst of adversity, God has a plan. Sometimes it feels like there's no way a situation can work out for good, or that God is working in a hard moment. However, I am so glad that I serve a God who has every detail of my life mapped out and I can trust in Him for guidance and peace of mind knowing my life is in His hands!

In keeping with one of my goals for September, I am excited to share my first YouTube videos for the month! I plan to have four up so be sure to keep an eye out for more content there :) You can watch the video by clicking here!

I also rounded up some of my favorite fall flannels and beanies to incorporate a little bit of fashion content with today's more lifestyle-ish post. :) I linked a ton of affordable options that I love!
