Hey y'all!
I have had a busy week, and I always have a hard time going from breaks to school if I don't plan out my blog content well in advance. Needless to say, I was completely exhausted this whole week just getting back into a school routine so I have slacked majorly on getting my blog content up! Anyways, I wanted to get back on track and create a mood board for December. I love the visual aspect of creating these, but it also helps me to set my mood & goals for the month. Keep reading for what I am envisioning for the month of December, as well as a few of my Christmas bucket list items!
This month, I am going to focus on enjoying each day, and not rushing through the weeks. I can't believe there is less than 30 days left in 2017. I feel like so much has happened, and it completely flew by. I am so excited to go back home and spend time with my family. I feel so happy and inspired when I get to spend time with them and at home so I am really looking forward to it!
I also want to focus even harder on my blog, getting out good content, and really being a helpful resource for all my followers. I want to really be proud of what I am putting out! If you ever have suggestions of things you want to see styled, or specific topics you want on the blog, be sure to send me an email or DM on Insta!
If you can't tell from my mood board, I have been really drawn to light colors for the winter. I think it is so fresh and simple looking, and I love it! I want to incorporate glitters, metallics, and all the traditional holiday vibes, but I also want to incorporate whites and creams and blushes to follow the pretty trend! I also love fur, berets, velvets, and cozy knits in terms of fashion pieces for this month!
Most importantly for the month, I want to remember the true meaning of Christmas! I am so thankful for our Savior being born to save us all. I want to remember this each day and not forget why we celebrate. Its not about the presents, peppermint mochas, and pretty lights ;) I think I want to share each day on my Insta story things that I am grateful for to help keep the focus!
Here are some of my bucket list items for the month! I want to pack in lots of fun and adventurous things into the month, especially with the free time I will have once finals are over.
Bucket list:
1. See the Nutcracker Ballet. The ballet company that performs in my hometown is also coming to a town close to where I go to school, so I would loove to get tickets to go see it. Its one of my favorite things I remember doing once for my birthday back in middle school! I love watching the show.
2. Go on a sleigh ride back home. There is a shopping area that always hosts free sleigh rides on the weekends in December. I want to go and do this! Its so fun and really gets you in the Christmas spirit.
3. Drive around and look at lights.
4. Sit by the fire in the evening. I love doing this when I'm home!
5. Make Christmas cookies/candy.
6. Go ice skating.
7. Go to the zoo back home -- sounds weird/random but on Wednesdays they have $3 admission and I just love going to the zoo!
8. Have a PJ day.
9. Have a Christmas movie marathon (in PJ's too???)
10. Take photos at a Christmas tree farm.
11. Make a few vlogs/videos with my new GoPro.
12. Finish Christmas shopping.
13. Try new breakfast place at home -- called HomeGrown.
14. Try a new coffee shop.
15. Play Christmas songs on the piano.
16. Make a pie with a braided crust (I keep saying I want to do this so I am making it happen for Christmas this time!)
17. Read a new book. In the theme of slowing down, I want to take time to read something new. I always love reading but never seem to have time!
18. Get a new nail polish (glitter? or a pretty dark color?)
19. DIY holiday coffee drinks!
20. Try a new workout class at the gym at home!
21. Take some fun photos at cool places in my hometown.
22. Random act of kindness for the holidays.
23. Make holiday stationary/cards and send them to my friends/family!
24. Wrap all of my gifts in a really cute way.
25. Spend time with family!
I hope you all enjoyed this little (ok actually really long) post! I am so excited for December and feeling so inspired. What are you hoping to accomplish this month?
Thanks for reading!
