Hey y'all!
Today I thought I would share my go-to face makeup routine for summer -- one that achieves the perfect summer glow without being overly complicated. It is lightweight, simple and easy -- all the things I need when it comes to a makeup routine in general, but especially for summer! Here are my five key products:
(1) Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Summer Tint Moisturizer
(2) Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer
(3) Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter
(4) Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
(5) Round makeup brushes
I start with the Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Summer Tint Moisturizer. This thing is key for achieving that bronzed look! It is definitely a splurge. However, I really think it is worth it. It doesn't provide coverage per say, but it helps to provide luminance and a slight tint to your skin. So whether you're bronzed already or just faking it til you make it, you will have some help in that department.
Next I use the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer. This stuff is awesome. For summer and everyday looks, I usually skip contouring because its just too heavy and I honestly do not have time for that. However, I do love to do an all over bronzer just to enhance the glow. This one is around $10 from the drugstore and also smells like coconuts so its a winner all around.
Next I use a highlighter. This is another key item to get that gorgeous glowy look! I have Champagne Pop from Becca and it is a real game changer. Definitely pricey but worth it. Its just beautiful. I have tried other highlighers and I think if you are looking for a good secret, find a champagne eyeshadow from the drugstore and you can often replicate the look, ovbiously for much less.
Lastly for products is my Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed from Tarte. This one is a great product for summer because it is a 12-hour wear product. I have multiple colors in this blush and they last so long and are sooo pigmented. Well worth the money -- and the actual product will last you so long because you just need the smallest bit of product because of the excellent color payoff.
As a bonus -- I also love to use my round makeup brushes. This is definitely not key to achieving this look necessarily, but I find that it is super easy to apply my makeup using them! They are sturdy, dense and I like how my makeup looks when I use them. I also do not have any brush hairs fall out which is a major key for me.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Do you use any of these products? Or, what are your go-to makeup products for summer? Be sure and let me know because I am always looking for new products to try out, especially in these toasty summer months!
