Hey y'all!
If you're new around here, once a month or so I do "Coffee Date" posts, which is basically an Instagram roundup + an update on what is new in my life. I like to write these posts so that y'all can get a better idea of what is going on in my life outside the outfit posts! I realized that I hadn't done one since the middle of April as well, so there is a lot of catching up to do! I am sharing some of my big life events, as well as some of my favorite Instas from the past month or so :)
First off, probably the biggest event in my life as of recently has been getting engaged. If you missed it, I did a full post on Nate and I's engagement story! You can read that post here and outfit details are linked in that post as well :)
Next, I am finished with my JUNIOR YEAR of college....like what?! Its sooo crazy to me, if we're being honest! I feel so old and not quite prepared to be a full on adult. I can't believe I only have one year left of living with my best friends in the coolest college town ever and only one more year to make memories as a college student. The time has truly flown by! Below is a photo from my sorority's senior dinner, where we celebrate the people graduating. Its so weird to think next year I'll be one of the seniors honored! (So a funny story too...the seniors give out a few awards to the juniors that night, and one of them is the "Ring Award" where you get a ring pop from a senior. It basically means most likely to get engaged. It was funny because I got the award on a Wednesday, and then got engaged that weekend! Guess it was good luck ;) )
post about this outfit here.
Since I last did a life update post, I also got to celebrate Easter with my family! We have a big tradition of a huge bonfire, flashlight Easter egg hunt, and a cookout with my family the weekend of Easter, and then of course going to church the next morning all together. It is one of my favorite traditions and all time favorite holidays! Here are a few photos of my siblings and I, and some of my cousins, too!
post about my outfit here.
With the onset of spring/summer comes my obsession with all things white! This has been my go-to spring uniform as of lately -- and then I just switch it up with bright bags or statement earrings. Its really simple, but I love how easy it is to recreate and make it unique!
I have also been on a major espadrille kick lately. This gingham pair has been one of my favorites! I love the casual, slip on style + of course the gingham which is a huuuge trend for spring/summer this year. I have a whole post featuring this pair of espadrilles and three other pairs of shoes for summer that are under $35 here!
I also wanted to share a few of my favorite outfit insta's that I featured on the blog recently. Below each one is a shoppable widget where you can get the products or similar ones, too!
post with leopard print scarf here.
Since I last updated y'all, I also had my big spring break adventure with my bestie, Shelby! It seems like forever ago, but I never mentioned it in my last update post. We had so much fun exploring, taking photos, and just spending time together. I have a full post on traveling to Waco here and traveling to Oklahoma City here!
Nate and I also went to see Turnpike Troubadour, which is a red-dirt country band when they came to Manhattan last month! It was such a fun concert, I always love going to country concerts! It was one of those spontaneous and fun nights which I know I'll remember for a long time!
This was another of my favorite Insta posts recently! I love all thing bright and sparkly, so of course the day these two items came in the mail, I was super excited! I featured these shoes in this blog post!
Lastly, we had formal for my sorority which was such a blast :) I always love getting dressed up and going out to dinner, and of course Nate looked super handsome too! I did an entire post on this dress here if you want to check it out!
So thank you for sticking around for this super long post if you made it this far! I hope you enjoyed this life update/insta round up :) I always enjoy reflecting on the big events that take place in my life each month and I love having a place to record all of the major ones!
I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday! Today I am running some errands + possibly visiting my mom in her classroom to help with some projects at her school! Talk to you tomorrow!
