48 HOURS IN NASHVILLE

Hey y'all!

So today I wanted to share a recap of my trip to Nashville last weekend. I had such an amazing time and I just fell in love with the city and all it had to offer. I only wish I had more time to spend there! I love the excitement and hustle of the city, and traveling always inspires me so I loved the opportunity to go and experience this new place.

For starters, the whole reason for taking the trip was that my school's football team was playing Vanderbilt that weekend. So we made an excuse of the opportunity and took a little weekend trip! We roadtripped there, and while it was a long drive, it was so fun to be crammed into a car with four of my favorite people in the whole world.

We actually stayed in an Airbnb because hotels were so expensive, and it was honestly a great idea. We stayed in the Sylvan Park area, which was sooo cute and charming. One of my favorite things about traveling is driving around and looking at houses...which may sound weird, but I love to see if I can picture myself living in a city. I could totally see myself living in one of the houses in this area! They were very quaint and so gorgeous, with tons of wooden beams, soft earthy colors...etc.

Anyways, let's get onto the main highlights of the trip!

What we did.
Honkeytonks/Broadway. We spent some time listening to music, walking around, and exploring the different bars on Broadway. It was so fun to just sing and dance, enjoy the music, and honestly be amazed at the amount of talent in that city! You'll never be without fun music and good country jams in that city.

Murals. We also did a lot of exploring to find the iconic murals in the city, as well as take some photos in front of other ones we found, too! Our personal favorites were the "I believe in Nashville" and the "What Lifts You" mural, but we also found some pretty floral ones and the outside of Drapper James is really cute too!

Window shopping -- Drapper James and other boutiques along 21st street. With a cool city comes cool fashion and I of course loved every minute of that! We walked into tons of really fun and stylish boutiques, and while I didn't actually buy anything, it was so fun just to look and stroll around. There is tons of great local shopping here!

What we ate.
Local Taco. This was really close to our Airbnb, like in walking distance! And y'all the food was so good. They had tons of different options for street tacos, which was really cool. Also great chips & salsa which of course is my weakness. I also got a really yummy & fresh Mexican salad! I highly recommend checking out this place!

Frothy Monkey. I don't know how I am suppose to pick my favorite restaurant we stopped at in the city...but I am just a sucker for a yummy & cute coffee shop so of course I love Frothy Monkey. I have heard so many people rave about this place so of course I had to check it out! It did not disappoint. The coffee is to die for. I just had a cold brew with hazelnut + soy milk, which is a go-to for me just about anywhere, but y'all it was amazing. I was tempted to try their banana flavoring as well because that's a specialty of theirs...but I chickened out ;)

Fido. This was probably one of the best brunches I have ever eaten. It was to die for! I highly recommend checking this place out as well. It was insanely popular with the line wrapping around the entire place! We waited probably 30 minutes to order, but our food came sooo fast so it was completely worth the wait. They have just about anything you can want in a brunch place so anyone can be happy here! They had really yummy looking lattes as well, but we had also planned to go to Frothy Monkey that day too!

Other things I would've loved to see...
Since the trip was so short, it was just impossible to squeeze everything in! However, a few of the things I would have loved to see more of/done would have been a show at the Grand Ol Opry, eating at the Pancake Pantry, Brunch at Acme Feed & Seed, The Parthenon, and maybe visiting a few of the museums dedicated to country music legends! This just means I have an excuse to go back someday :)

I am also linking some of the items I am wearing in these photos -- they are also linked in the blog posts I shared last week on each of the outfits if you want more details on each look. Click here for the suede dress post and click here for the gingham jumpsuit post!

Overall, it was an amazing trip and I can totally see myself going back there someday. It was such a cool atmosphere and definitely a trip to go on if you love being active and doing things while vacationing. I'm not always one to just sit around and be lazy! The only downer about the trip was how short it was...and our football team sadly lost. But it was still a blast like I said!

I also made a short video montage of all of the fun things we did while we were there. You can check it out below!

Thanks so much for reading y'all, hope you enjoyed! Talk to you in tomorrow's post!
