Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing another installment in my #StyleTips series where I break down current/popular trends and give y'all my take on the trend + affordable ways to incorporate the style into your wardrobe. I am really excited to be sharing today's post with y'all!
So a few weeks ago when I was shooting this post, I took to Instagram stories to share a poll to see what y'alls thoughts were on this trend. Overall, the people that voted were 50/50. I know my fiancé, who was helping me shoot, is not a huge fan of the trend. It's definitely a bolder look and a bit edgy, but I wanted to share with y'all how easy it is to rock this trend. In case you are on the fence, let me just try and convince you this is the look you need for fall!
First off, these hats are actually pretty affordable, so if you are interested in trying the trend for yourself, definitely check out the links below. Its not something that you'll have to shell out a ton of money to try, which is always my rule when it comes to trends. I never spend very much in case I end up being too scared to try it or just not liking it in general.
I decided to keep my first outfit using the hat pretty simple, and something that anyone could incorporate. I started with my favorite plaid blouse. This one is seriously a must-have, even if you don't end up being convinced to try the hat, you should order yourself this top! It is sooo soft and I bought a size up so it was even flowier and comfy.
I paired the flannel with my favorite skinny jeans -- I love the ankle detail and the tuxedo stripe on the side. I wasn't sure if I could pull of this trendy denim but they actually are so comfy + very flattering if you ask me! I think they are under $35 as well so again if you are looking to test out the trend but don't want to spend too much, these are a great option!
Lastly, I wore some simple black booties. I love black for the fall and winter and it just makes for a simple and cohesive style!
